Action Center: Record of LSU Board of Supervisor meetings

[Updated September 8, 2013, 8:04pm]

The Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors (LSU BOS) June 19th rubber stamped two additional Jindal administration privatizations of the LSU Charity hospital Bogalusa Medical Center.

The agenda item for Huey P. Long Medical Center in Pineville was postponed for the third time. The next scheduled meeting of the LSU Board of Supervisors is July 26, 2013 at 1:00pm.

LSU Board of Supervisors members listed HERE.

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Independence has not faced privatization, supposedly because LSU and the Jindal administration were unable to find a private corporate suitor to take over operations. As has been the case with previous LSU BOS privatization approvals of Charity Hospitals in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans, their agenda can be 100s of pages; yet with insertions of blank pages that lack key financial details.

People interested in lodging public comment need to register by phone, email or fax at least one hour in advance of the meeting with the BOS (see details HERE).
